Homewood is renowned for its long-standing tradition of loving, quality skilled nursing care. In a comfortable, secure environment, we provide complete assistance with daily activities. Preserving residents’ dignity and self-respect is our top priority. Our licensed, professional staff cares for each resident’s unique physical, social and emotional needs. Our skilled therapy staff provides speech, occupational and physical rehabilitation. All of Homewood’s health care centers are Medicare/Medicaid certified. The superior care, consistency and attention to detail we provide helps keep your loved one content, comfortable and functioning at his or her highest possible level. Comprehensive Skilled Nursing Care

Whether for short-term rehab or long term residency, Homewood’s Comprehensive Skilled Nursing Care program offers a full range of physical and medical support. Our residents have the option of a private room or private room with shared bath, their own dining room as well as spaces for social interaction and activities. Care plans are created for each resident to meet his or her psychosocial, physical and medical situation. Needed medical care for most health conditions is provided in-house. Transportation for off-campus specialist’s appointments is available.

Memory Care

Homewood recognizes the special needs of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related impairments. Our specially trained staff provides exceptional and compassionate care, preserving the dignity and quality of life for our residents in a comfortable and secure environment. We offer unique programs tailored to the changing needs of individual residents, promoting social participation, mobility and activity. All residents have access to geriatric health professionals who are experienced in treating individuals with memory loss. Our support extends to our resident's family members and their caregivers.

Skilled Rehabilitation

Our Skilled Rehabilitation program is designed to bridge the health care gap that exists for patients who are discharged from the hospital, yet require greater support than what is available at home. Our highly experienced, licensed and certified staff is dedicated to helping every idividual regain their independence as soon as possible. We offer physical, occupational and speech therapy. Individuals receive the medical care they need, the restorative therapy and ancillary services they require, and the support they and their families deserve. Homewood offers the option of a private room or private room with shared bath with their own separate dining room.

Through an integrated approach, Homewood at Frederick bridges the gap from hospital to home for those requiring speech, occupational, and physical therapy. 

Respite Care

When temporary assistance is needed for the care of a family member, consider Respite Care. Homewood provides for short term stays of 5 days or more based on room availability. Respite Care provides the daily living assistance your loved one needs in a stimulating environment where he or she can develop new friendships and interests before returning to your care. Excellent meals, activities and opportunities for socializing are enjoyed by all Respite Care residents, and you enjoy the peace of mind in knowing that your loved one’s health and happiness is in the best of hands.

Outpatient Rehabilitative Care

Homewood at Frederick is working with Functional Pathways to provide outpatient rehab care to our independent residents. These rehab services will help our residents achieve their goals for restoring health and regaining strength, function, mobility and self-care skills.
