All health care services are available to non-residents.
Comprehensive Skilled Nursing Care
Whether for short-term rehab or long term residency, Homewood’s Comprehensive Skilled Nursing Care program offers a full range of physical and medical support. Our residents have private rooms, their own dining room as well as spaces for social interaction and activities. Care plans are created for each resident to meet his or her psychosocial, physical and medical situation. Needed medical care for most health conditions is provided in-house. Transportation for off-campus specialist’s appointments is available.
Homewood recognizes the special needs of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related impairments. Our specially trained staff provides exceptional and compassionate care, preserving the dignity and quality of life for our residents in a comfortable and secure environment. We offer unique programs tailored to the changing needs of individual residents, promoting social participation, mobility and activity. All residents have access to geriatric health professionals who are experienced in treating individuals with memory loss. Our support also extends our patient’s family members and caregivers.
Our Skilled Rehabilitation program is designed to bridge the health care gap that exists for patients who leave the hospital yet still require greater support than what is available at home. Our highly experienced, licensed and certified staff is dedicated to helping every patient regain their independence as soon as possible. We offer physical, occupational and speech therapy. Patients receive the medical care they need, the restorative therapy and ancillary services they require, and the support they and their families deserve.
When temporary assistance is needed for the care of a family member, consider Respite Care. Homewood provides for short term stays of 5 days or more based on room availability. Respite Care provides the daily living assistance your loved one needs in a stimulating environment where he or she can develop new friendships and interests before returning to your care. Excellent meals, activities and opportunities for socializing are enjoyed by all Respite Care residents, and you enjoy the peace of mind in knowing that your loved one’s health and happiness is in the best of hands.
