Homewood’s community of 500+ residents is situated on 140 acres of rolling countryside with spectacular views of the Catoctin Mountains and is less than an hour from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD.  Here, you’ll enjoy a vibrant, maintenance-free lifestyle without the obligations and worries associated with home ownership – and have the use of many wonderful amenities.

Homewood at Frederick is dedicated to providing professional, compassionate and caring service to enhance the quality of life for its residents and clients. It is just one of five communities owned and operated by Homewood Retirement Centers, Inc., a private not-for-profit continuing care corporation, founded in 1932, based in Williamsport, Maryland, governed by a board of directors.

Homewood at Frederick first operated as a nursing home in 1979 in the former Francis Scott Key Hotel in downtown Frederick before moving to our current location in 2000. Homewood at Frederick provides residential options for independent and assisted living retirees as well as those in need of health care services. Our staff supports the health, dignity and vitality of all who live here.
